Hedgehog is a financial modelling platform that helps users calculate price targets, evaluate investment opportunities, and understand the numbers — without needing a finance degree. The challenge was to make something powerful feel approachable.
Clean & Modern Design
This design helped us simplify something that most people find intimidating. It’s clear, it’s modern, and it gives our users real confidence.
Challenge
Most financial modelling tools are built for professionals — complex, technical, and overwhelming for everyday users.
Interfaces were too dense for retail investors
Key actions like forecasting or valuation felt buried
The experience didn’t explain the “why” behind each step
Users lacked the confidence to use the tool effectively
Approach
Design an experience that guides the user through every step with confidence.
Created a simple flow that breaks down modelling into clear actions
Used visual explanations to build trust in the process
Removed noise and focused only on essential tools
Designed with retail investors in mind — not analysts
Process
Every screen was shaped around user thinking, not finance logic.
Mapped common user goals like “Should I invest in this?”
Designed smart UI components in Figma for building models step-by-step
Focused on clarity through charts, tooltips, and short tips
